Welcome to Cities500 and 21st century cities
The internationally focused Cities500 publishes distinctive and elegant books in collaboration with a global network of distinguished writers, journalists, photographers, graphic designers, artists and printers.

Each book - either in the 21st Century Cities series or others that offer a more literary, heritage or educational theme - comprises a panoramic display of glorious photographs linked to a series of fascinating, perceptive essays by sympathetic, and often award winning writers who have an understanding of the city, region or country.
This far reaching and talented team, variously based in the UK, Australia, America, China, Canada and Germany conceives, develops and contributes to projects as cooperative ventures, working in tandem with corporate and commercial organisations, local authorities, public sector bodies and academic institutions in various locations worldwide.
The philosophy that underpins all Cities500 worldwide publishing projects is to make available top class, luxurious books for the general reader that would normally retail at a very high price.
This is made practical and possible through our association with what we term our 'celebrity strategic partners' - a group of individuals or organisations who also share the vision that these special photo/essay books, that offer a panoramic focus, are a truly magnificent and insightful celebration of a city, region, or country and their peoples; along with significant national celebrations and events, or majestic waterfronts, iconic structures and awe-inspiring sites.
In terms of an intellectual, literary and philanthropic agenda this means that apart from the limited editions only available to our partners, we are able to market retail copies of most of these books at an affordable price in each region or country - ensuring that each of the books has an extensive distribution and profile, and are widely available to the general reader as well as our partners.
