Special Cities and Countries
Over the next few years Cities500 will publish a series of photographic/essay books putting the focus on a number of the world's exciting and dynamic cities: their citizens, their architecture and events of importance. We have already pinpointed such grand cities as Toronto, Montreal, Shanghai, Cologne, Cape Town, Chicago and Santiago, as well as Melbourne, Bilbao and Singapore.
We are also working on a series of books that celebrate major cultural events and also pay tribute to worldwide regions and their heritage - and on a more human scale the political and cultural relations between countries.
The first in this series is China & Britain - see current projects - and the other the second edition of our Urban Reflections series, titled Celebrations. It will draw in photographs and commentaries from photo-journalists and writers from across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
